Voice Mode

Speak naturally with your AI tutor

What is Voice Mode?

Voice Mode lets you have hands-free conversations with your AI tutor using natural speech. Instead of typing, simply tap the microphone and start talking. The tutor listens, understands, and responds out loud, creating a natural back-and-forth learning experience.

Voice Mode is perfect for practicing pronunciation, working through problems while your hands are busy, or simply learning in a more conversational way.

Getting Started

1

Look for the VoiceBar at the bottom of your screen during any chat session

2

Tap the microphone button to begin listening

3

Speak your question or response naturally

4

Listen to the AI tutor's spoken response, then continue the conversation

Features

VoiceBar

The VoiceBar is the compact control strip that appears at the bottom of your screen. It includes a microphone toggle, volume indicator, and status display showing whether the tutor is listening, thinking, or speaking.

Conversation Starters

Not sure what to say? Conversation Starters are pre-built prompts designed to kick off productive voice sessions. Choose from topics like vocabulary practice, reading comprehension, or open-ended discussion to get going quickly.

Voice Skill Map

The Voice Skill Map is a visual representation of your pronunciation and fluency skills. It tracks areas like clarity, pacing, vocabulary range, and articulation accuracy, giving you a clear picture of your strengths and areas for growth.

Voice Streaks

Build momentum with daily practice streaks. Voice Streaks track how many consecutive days you have used Voice Mode, awarding badges at milestones like 3-day, 7-day, and 30-day streaks. The longer your streak, the more impressive the badge.

Full-Screen Panel

Switch to Full-Screen Mode for an immersive, distraction-free voice conversation. The interface expands to fill your entire screen, hiding navigation and other elements so you can focus entirely on the conversation.

Voice Transcript

Every voice conversation generates a live transcript that scrolls as you speak. You can review what was said at any time, making it easy to revisit key points or catch something you missed.

Tips for a Great Experience

Find a quiet room. Background noise can interfere with speech recognition. A quiet space gives the best results.
Speak clearly and at a natural pace. You do not need to shout or speak slowly. Just talk normally, and the AI will understand.
Use Conversation Starters for guided practice. If you are not sure where to begin, the pre-built prompts are a great way to jump into a focused session.

For Speech-Language Pathologists

Voice Mode supports clinical articulation practice. SLPs can use it as a supplementary tool for students working on specific phonemes, fluency targets, or conversational pragmatics. The Voice Skill Map provides data points that can inform therapy planning and progress monitoring.

For Parents

Voice Mode is ideal for on-the-go learning. It works great during car rides, homework time, or whenever your child wants to practice without needing to type. The Voice Transcript lets you review what was discussed, and Voice Streaks help build a consistent practice habit.
