Looking for the grown-up version? See how Cocovox meets the K-12 privacy Gold Standard — protection by protection, what’s enforced today and what’s built but not yet switched on.
Privacy Policy for children
This is a simplified version of our privacy policy written especially for children. We believe you should understand how we protect your information!
Your stuff is in a locked box
When you chat, record your voice, or save something about your learning, we put it in a locked box. Cocovox staff can only open the box for specific reasons — like helping you, keeping you safe, or fixing a bug.
We started locking new things on April 17, 2026. If you used Cocovox before that, we're almost done locking your older stuff too.
Voice check-ups
If your voice mode has a rough day, we jot down 'this happened' so we can fix it for next time. We also note what kind of connection (like Wi-Fi) and device (like a tablet) you had. If talking can't start at all, we jot that down too, with a short reason, like 'the microphone was blocked' or 'a grown-up turned it off.' These notes never include what you said.
Counting at our front door
Our welcome page — the one anyone can see before signing in — counts things like 'someone tried the demo' so we can make it better. We never know who: no names, no accounts, no cookies, nothing saved on your device. If your browser asks us not to track, we don't count at all. We erase the counts after 90 days.
