Before diving into specific issues, try these common solutions:

Refresh the Page

Many issues can be resolved by refreshing. Press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac), or click the refresh button in your browser.

Clear Your Cache

Outdated cached data can cause problems. Clear your browser cache:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy → Clear Data
  • Safari: Develop → Empty Caches

Try a Different Browser

If issues persist, try accessing Cocovox in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).

Check Your Internet Connection

A slow or unstable connection can cause loading issues. Test your connection at fast.com.

Pro Tip: Many issues are temporary. If something isn't working, wait a few minutes and try again.

Common Issues

Can't Log In

  • Check that caps lock is off
  • Use "Forgot Password" to reset your password
  • If using Google/Microsoft login, ensure you're signed into the correct account
  • Clear cookies and try again

Page Won't Load

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try a hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily
  • Check our status page for outages

AI Tutor Not Responding

  • Wait a moment and try again (high traffic can cause delays)
  • Refresh the page and start a new conversation
  • Check if you've hit your daily message limit

Flashcards Not Saving

  • Ensure you're connected to the internet
  • Wait for the "Saved" indicator before navigating away
  • Try refreshing and checking if cards appear in your library

Browser Requirements

Cocovox works best on:

  • Chrome (version 90+)
  • Firefox (version 90+)
  • Safari (version 14+)
  • Edge (version 90+)

Internet Explorer is not supported.

Mobile App Issues

If using our mobile app:

  • Ensure you have the latest version installed
  • Try force-closing and reopening the app
  • Check that you've granted necessary permissions
  • Reinstall if issues persist

If you've found a bug, help us fix it:

  1. Take a screenshot of the issue
  2. Note what you were doing when it happened

  4. Include your browser/device and operating system
