Cocovox provides a comprehensive suite of clinical tools designed specifically for speech-language pathologists. Whether you work in schools, private practice, or clinical settings, these tools streamline your workflow from session planning through documentation and reporting.

Every clinical feature is built with input from practicing SLPs to ensure it fits naturally into professional workflows and meets the documentation standards your setting requires.

Who It's For

  • Licensed SLPs - Full access to clinical sessions, IEP tracking, probes, and reporting tools for your caseload
  • Speech Therapy Assistants (SLPAs) - Run sessions and collect data under supervising SLP oversight with role-appropriate access controls
  • Clinical Supervisors - Review session data, approve documentation, and monitor caseload progress across your team

Getting Started

1

Navigate to the Clinical section from your dashboard sidebar. If you do not see it, ensure your account has the SLP or clinical role enabled in your profile settings.

2

Add clients to your caseload. You can import from your school's roster or add clients manually with their relevant demographic and clinical information.

3

Set up IEP goals for each client. You can enter goals manually or use Cocovox's goal templates aligned to common articulation, language, and fluency targets.

4

Start your first clinical session. Select a client, choose target goals, and begin collecting data with real-time scoring.

HIPAA & Privacy

Cocovox takes clinical data privacy seriously. All client data is handled with the following safeguards:

  • Data encryption - All clinical data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption
  • Access controls - Role-based permissions ensure only authorized clinicians can access client records
  • Audit trail - Every data access and modification is logged for compliance review
  • FERPA compliance - For school-based SLPs, all student data handling meets FERPA requirements for educational records
  • Data retention - You control how long clinical data is retained, with configurable retention policies per your organization's requirements
Important: While Cocovox implements strong privacy controls, your organization may have additional HIPAA or data governance requirements. Consult your compliance officer before storing protected health information (PHI) in any cloud-based system.
School-based SLPs: Cocovox's clinical tools integrate with the classroom features, so teachers and SLPs can coordinate on shared students without duplicating data entry. See Classroom Overview for details.
